Training Vision is a part of ETN (Education and Training Network) which was founded in Italy, in Avignano to be precise. According to the official website, “We help students and adults grow and learn in a fast changing world”. Training Vision is also dedicated to bringing value into every aspect of training and learning mobility. Basically they help students or people who want an experience abroad but the project doesn’t start from Training Vision. It is in their headquarters in Avignano where schools, companies and individuals can apply for projects and talk to Training Vision about how to make them happen. As a partner of schools from all over Europe, it has become the best and most successful English work experience provider agency in the education sector. The first office was in Rimini, followed by Sofia, Berlin, Malaga, Cork, Portsmouth and Bournemouth, where we are currently working.
Our tutor in the agency is Giulia, an Italian woman who started working for this company this year. Before working for Training Vision, she was living in Milan looking for a job that allows her to travel around the world because that has been her dream since she was a child. She started working as an experience tutor, which meant she had to plan all the extra activities the students do after their work or lessons during the period of the project. “Being an experience tutor was really enj
oyable but after a while I felt it was too much for me. I knew that they were looking for someone here in Bournemouth so I applied for the position and that’s the reason why I’m here talking with you two guys now” she said in response to our questions. Giulia is very happy with her job and we know it’s true because we can feel it in the air; she is very polite, available for our complaints or problems and she always has a smile on her face that cheers you up in every situation. Obviously her work isn’t easy, first of all because she has to manage all the groups that come to the agency and look after their needs especially with the Italian groups because they’re more likely to complain (according to her, and we be
cause we are Italian and we know who we are dealing with) but also because the students are usually teenagers and they just want to have fun. However, she always said that she loves her work particularly for the opportunity to meet lots of new people from different Countries, in any place at any time. As she says herself: “I’ve only been working for eight months and I’ve met more people in this period than in the last three years” . As for her future, she doesn’t know what she would like to do yet but on the other hand, in five years, she hopes to see herself in Italy maybe aware of her skills, more independent than now and with a job that allows her to travel as much as she wants to.
Talking about our experience, we’ve been working at Training Vision for only two weeks and in this period we did some technical repairs, company finding, video editing and also coded a desktop application. We really enjoy working there and we made a very strong relationship with our colleagues and superiors Lucia and Magdalena, Magda for friends. To begin with, we were working at other companies where we didn’t felt comfortable and had troubles with but now we feel in the right place. It’s really hard to explain, for both of us the time goes fast and it feels like it’s time to go home almost as soon as we have sat down.
In conclusion, we enjoyed and still enjoying our work at Training Vision. We like everything about the company and all the people are beautiful, friendly, polite and funny. Furthermore the time passed in this office wasn’t boring or stressful. We’re really glad that we are working for this company.
